Pansion Begić is only 30 meters from the sandy beach in Duće and 2 km from the historic town of Omiš. It offers spacious rooms with breathtaking sea or mountain views.
A wide range of water sports and other beach activities are available. Excursions to the islands of Brač and Hvar and to Split can be arranged.
Near the guest house there are restaurants serving local cuisine, as well as a mini market.
Pansion Begić offers a shuttle service from the airport and from the bus or train station in Split. Every 30 minutes a local bus runs from Split to Omis and stops in front of the guest house.

Our Story
From Family Home to Pansion Begić
Our story begins in the late 1970s, a time when tourism in Dalmatia was just starting to gain significant momentum.
In 1978, Ante Begić and his brother Rajko decided to build something of their own. In Duće—located a few kilometers from Omiš and just a stone’s throw from the sea—they built a house that would eventually become much more than just a holiday spot.
It became their business, their home, and—most importantly—a place where people from all over the world would meet for decades to come.
In the beginning, everything was simple: a few rooms, a homemade breakfast, and a lot of hard work. There were no complex systems, no modern reception desks, and no internet for guests to find accommodation. Guests arrived through word-of-mouth recommendations, returned year after year, and told their friends where they had spent their summer.
That is how Pansion Begić grew alongside tourism in Duće.
Family Has Always Been at the Heart of Our Hospitality
From the very beginning, the guesthouse was a family business.
Ante and Rajko were not merely owners; they were hosts, handymen, organizers, and cooks who truly knew their guests. Back then, the line between private life and work was almost non-existent.
The children grew up alongside the guests, learning the trade by watching the older generation and helping out wherever needed.
This tradition has continued into the second generation.
In 2013, after more than three decades of family operation, the company Begic d.o.o. was established. While this gave the family business a new organizational structure, it remained what it had always been: a business run by a family. A generation that grew up with the Guesthouse
Today, Guesthouse Begić is run by the family’s second generation.
Growing up alongside the guesthouse meant growing up among people from diverse countries, languages, and cultures. It meant watching guests return after years, recognizing families who have visited for generations, and realizing that true hospitality is about far more than just a beautifully appointed room.
Over the years, the guesthouse has evolved with the times.
The property has been gradually renovated and adapted to meet new standards, with a major refurbishment completed in 2015. Today, we offer 21 rooms and strive to blend the best of both worlds: Dalmatian family hospitality and modern accommodation standards.
Yet, some things have intentionally remained unchanged.
A guest is still a guest, not merely a reservation number.
From our first guests to the whole world
Thousands of people have walked through our doors over the course of nearly five decades.
They came as young couples, families with children, groups of friends, motorcyclists, travelers discovering Dalmatia, and guests returning after ten, twenty, or even more years.
Today, guests find us from all corners of the globe. At our reception, there is a map where we mark the countries our guests have come from—a small reminder of how far the story that began right here in Duće has traveled.
Behind every country lies a person, a family, or a cherished memory.
That is why we are especially delighted when guests return.
Because then we know they found more than just a place to stay.

Almost half a century has passed since Ante and Rajko Begić built the first house in 1978.
The guesthouse has changed.
The way people travel has changed.
Technology, booking methods, and guest expectations have all changed.
But the essence of how it all began remains the same:
family, the sea, hospitality, and the desire to make every guest feel welcome.
Today, we continue to build upon what our parents started.
We do not wish to erase the past to create something new. We want to preserve what is valuable from the past and blend it with what the future brings.
For Pansion Begić did not originate as a hotel project.
It began as a family story.
And that is exactly how we want it to remain.
